COLLEGE OF BUSINESS

The College of Business aims to transform you into professional career specialists and decision-makers in the corporate world, equipped with the right skills, knowledge, and values. College of Business will prepare you for a career in Business, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, and Tourism with a local and international perspective.  Our business programs consist of a business laboratory, simulation activities, pool of experts, and innovative curricula responding to the present business horizon.

 

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management
The Human Resource Management Program prepares the graduate for a career in the Human Resources Department of any organization, handling the many diverse human capital requirements for the organization, including recruitment, staffing, training, and career development.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management
The Marketing Management program prepares the graduate for careers in marketing, market research, advertising, and public relations. The curriculum provides the graduate with both technical skills and competencies required in the field, but also a flexible mindset that is necessary to stay competitive in a constantly changing business environment.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Financial Management
The Financial Management program prepares the graduates for various careers in financial management as well as related fields, including but not limited to: corporate finance, investment management, banking, credit, trust operations, insurance, foreign currency markets, money markets, capital markets, and other financial securities markets. The curriculum provides the graduate with knowledge of financial institutions and technical skills based on established financial theories, methodologies, and various analytical tools. It also promotes an outlook that is based primarily on ethics, market integrity, regulations, good governance, and a competitive global perspective, necessary for effective financial decision-making.

Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management
The Hospitality Management Program is a 4-year degree course which equips students with competencies that are needed to executive operational tasks and management functions in food production (culinary), accommodation, food and beverage service, and other emerging sectors of hospitality industry.


Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management
The Tourism Management Program is a 4-year degree course which equips students with competencies that are needed to executive operational tasks and management functions in tourism planning and product development, events planning, transportation services, travel and tour operations, and other emerging sectors of the tourism industry.

OBJECTIVES

WE, the College of Business of Lorma Colleges, believe that it is our responsibility to develop the young and creative hands for life through training of the mind, hands, body, and the heart. We believe the power of motivation and encouragement to learn the concepts of education, business, entrepreneurship, management, communication, to foster lifetime learning and independence. We believe the indulgence and guidance of the Almighty in whatever endeavor and activities we do.

  10. To expose students in the industry through annual company visits/exposure un the National Capital Region.

  11. To expose students in related learning experiences such as organizing seminars, outreach activities, community organizing, project implementation and actual business simulations.

The College of Business is proud of its tradition in providing experiences to its students in the field of business education. With its main goal since from its early beginnings as a department in Lorma Colleges, it has focused itself in preparing students to produce leaders with moral depths & good values, and knowledge necessary to meet the challenges of time in critical situations in its society.

The College of Business offers programs that provides exciting educational opportunities for students from all backgrounds and locations., locally or internationally. It offers fields in Business Administration, Hotel Management and Tourism Management. The faculty are dedicated professionals who have the heart in reaching with their students to provide educational experience equal to that of the other business educational institutions and in the industry.

The Level of Accreditation awarded by the Association of Christian Schools Colleges and Universities to the three programs shows the extent of the capability of the College of Business to develop young leaders in the business, Hotel and in the Tourism world. The College also provides experiential learning through its partnership with accredited Business, Hotel, and tourism Agencies. Aside from this, the students are exposed and immersed in school and college activities where they gain initial experiences that are meaningful enough for their preparation to On -the -Job trainings and exposure to outside industries. Research skills are developed by the students through their undertaking in Feasibility Studies, Corporate Strategy, Business & Marketing Research, Hotel Management * Tourism Management Thesis. Overall, the College of Business trains and students for the future of work—challenges and competencies for career professional success.
