Master in Information Systems (GRADUATE STUDIES)
The Master in Information Systems (MIS) is a graduate program intended to prepare students for strategic decision-making skills in the implementation of information systems in any organization. It is a program with a flexible curriculum that supports two unique professional paths which are the Data Science Track and Health Analytics Track.
Data Science Track Specialization
This specialization provides technical and leadership training required for key positions in information technology, data science, and analytics. It provides an understanding of how to work in professional roles in today’s data-intensive and data-driven world. It reviews key technologies in analytics and business intelligence drawing from both traditional statistics and machine learning. The integration of data science and business strategy has created a demand for professionals who can make data-driven decisions that propel their organizations forward.
Health Analytics Track Specialization
The health analytics specialization operates at the convergence of IT and health care, where evidence-based medicine, intelligent medical records, and data are leveraged to fuel more efficient, patient-centered health care, and improved population health. Assessing health analytics needs from clinical, technical, operational, and financial perspectives, students gain familiarity with the use of standards, information architecture, standard terminologies, and decision analysis in complex healthcare organizations. Students develop insights into clinical care processes and how IT impacts patients, healthcare providers, caregivers, and other key stakeholders in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
The Computer Engineering (CpE) Program of LORMA Colleges is a 4-year course specialized in Software Development. The program focuses on Internet of Things (IoT) Projects relevant to community involvement and national development, promoting engineering solutions to real-world problems. Students are expected to be skilled in Circuit Design and Construction, 3D Modeling, Desktop Application, Web Development, and Mobile Development Programming.
Computer Science is the root of Information and Communication Technology. BSCS graduates will have extensive knowledge of the principles and foundations of data structures, operating systems, programming, theory of computation, algorithms, and other major subjects which will facilitate in solving scientific, engineering, and commercial problems.
Information Technology drives progress, productivity, and profit and a strategic factor in gaining a competitive advantage. BSIT graduates will have extensive knowledge of the principles and foundations of UI/UX Design and Programming, Hybrid and Native Mobile Development, and Event-Driven Programming among others.
The BSIT course aims to equip students with one or more of the practical knowledge of how Information Systems are
installed, operationalized, managed, and administered.
