General Provisions

Lorma Colleges (also referred to as "School", "we", "our" and "us") established this Data Privacy Policy to show that we recognize and value your privacy rights.

Applicability

This Data Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information we collect on this system, applications, and point of contact that we will develop in the future.

Processing of information by third party and links to other websites

This Data Privacy Policy shall not apply to third party service providers and to other websites which has white label link to our Sites. The processing of your Personal Information in the third party's Sites is subject to their respective Data Privacy Policy. In no event will the School be responsible for the information these third parties will collect and process, neither will the School be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising out of or in connection with the use of or reliance on such third party.

Personal Information we collect

"Personal Information" is information that identifies you as an individual which could also be considered "sensitive personal information". This includes personal profile, contact information, past and current scholastic records, familial information and relationships, addresses, social demographics, and other information from schools who may hold other information.

If you provide us with Personal Information of other people in connection with the services we offer, or being enrolled into, you hereby represent that you have the authority to do so and have secured consent to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Data Privacy Policy.

Use of the personal information

We will use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To process your registration and enrollment;

  • To contact you about your registration, enlistment, accounts, obligations, grades, and other arrangements relative to your academic pursuit or learning;

  • To process your fees assessment, payment, discounts, charges, and/or refunds;

  • To personalize your records and provide services tailored to your requirements;

  • To facilitate the submission of relative information to regulatory agencies, government offices, member-organizations, and other partner-institutions with relative purpose and in accordance with this Data Privacy Policy;

  • To conduct marketing activities including sending out of email and SMS, for our courses and services, or products and services of third parties, and to conduct market and other historical and scientific research to improve our courses, services and marketing activities and generating insights which may include combining personal information from third parties or public sources;

  • To maintain records and comply with our legal obligations, including laws relating to education, skills development, sports, and, immigration.

  • For student/guardian support, including resolving and providing assistance for resolving cases or responding to other inquiries, requests or investigation;

  • And for all other purposes necessary for the provision of education, training, and other incidental services pursuant to your enrollment.

 

To whom do we share your personal information

In compliance with this Data Privacy Policy, your personal information may be shared to third parties in connection with the enrollment and provision of education and training services, including: other schools for information sharing and transfer arrangements, and other educational and non-educational partners participating in the pursuit of education for use in the operation and marketing of those programs; and regulating agencies, including those providing payment services, marketing services, conducting market research and analysis, providing information technology services, data storage, communication networks, software and system development, maintenance and support, and information processing, analysis and reporting; and providing services in the course of investigating a complaint or a security incident.

In compliance with our legal obligations under the law and to various law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities and governments around the world and their service providers for security, education and immigration purposes, we will disclose your Personal Information upon the request of the respective authorized officers.

Security

We have established appropriate physical, technical, and organizational security measures to protect the Personal Information provided to us. We use several security techniques including secure servers, firewalls and encryption in safeguarding the storage of data. Personal Information is encrypted as it communicates over the Internet because we use a Security Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. These safeguards are regularly reviewed to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure and improper use of your information, and to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data. We will adapt and implement the necessary changes for security measures to ensure continuous security of your Personal Information.

Rights of data subjects

The Personal Information you have provided in the School Management System pages shall be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements with third parties. You may exercise your particular Right to Access, Modify and Delete the Personal Information and change preferences, by contacting us.
