OUR SERVICES

  1. Student Mobility and Exchange: The office manages the international mobility programs of the institution, providing quality academic and meaningful cultural opportunities to students through partnerships with institutions, industries, and organizations abroad.

  2. Faculty Mobility and Exchange: The GPLO facilitates international faculty exchange programs in terms of training, academic visits, and joint lectures to promote faculty growth and development of global competencies.  

  3. Studies Abroad. Coordinates opportunities for international studies and education that align with institutional goals and priorities. 

  4. Language Trainings and Workshops—Provides language training, workshops, and language exchange programs with partners to enhance communication skills and engagement in a global environment.  

  5. Cultural Exchange—Provides opportunities for cultural learning experiences to promote intercultural understanding and respect for cultural roots and diversity. 

  6. Hosting of International Scholars—Coordinates the hosting of international scholars and visiting professors and lecturers with specialized institutional units to ensure a welcoming environment and rich learning experiences.

The 1st Animation Festival, held on February 6–7, 2025 at the Campus for Learning and Innovation (CLI), marked a significant milestone in strengthening international collaboration through creative media and digital arts. Organized under the Global Partnership and Language Office, the event was conducted in partnership with Busan Kyungsang College and gathered participating schools from across Region 1. The festival was officially endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), highlighting its academic significance and institutional support.

Carrying the theme “Animating Futures, Bridging Cultures,” the festival showcased animation as a dynamic platform that fosters creativity, cultural exchange, and skill development among students.

Program Highlights

The two-day event included:

  • 2D Animation Workshops

  • 3D Animation Sessions

  • Digital Storyboarding

  • Digital Illustration​

Students from different schools across Region 1 participated in hands-on activities and collaborative learning sessions, refining their artistic skills while engaging with multimedia tools and creative processes. The festival served as a valuable platform for budding animators to explore industry practices, share creative insights, and connect with peers and mentors.

1st Animation Festival Video Highlights

On February 5, 2025, delegates from Busan Kyungsang College officially arrived in the Philippines and were warmly welcomed by the administration and representatives of LORMA Colleges. Their arrival signified the beginning of a meaningful cultural and academic exchange between the two institutions.

As part of the engagement activities, the Korean delegates were given a comprehensive tour of both the Carlatan Campus and the San Juan Campus. The visit showcased LORMA Colleges’ academic facilities, learning environments, and institutional developments, while fostering camaraderie and strengthening international ties.

The first day featured a specialized seminar led by Prof. Kim Youngkeon of Busan Kyungsang College at the Function Hall and the Campus for Learning and Innovation (CLI).

The seminar explored the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools across industries and daily life. Beyond animation and digital media, discussions highlighted AI applications in education, research, communication, business innovation, and productivity. Students gained practical insights into adapting to emerging technologies and understanding their relevance in global professional environments.

Simultaneously, an International Student Admission Information Session was conducted at the San Juan Gymnasium, introducing academic programs and international study opportunities at Busan Kyungsang College. The session provided comprehensive guidance on admission processes, program pathways, and student mobility options—encouraging LORMANIAN students to explore global education prospects.

The second day highlighted student creativity through competitive events in:

  • 2D Animation

  • 3D Animation

  • Digital Storyboarding

  • Digital Illustration

Participants showcased technical proficiency, artistic storytelling, and innovation in a vibrant academic setting.

A significant highlight of the day was the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Renewal Ceremony between LORMA Colleges and Busan Kyungsang College. The renewal reaffirmed both institutions’ shared commitment to sustained international collaboration, student exchange opportunities, academic cooperation, and cultural partnership. This milestone strengthened the foundation of the long-standing relationship between the two institutions and paved the way for future joint initiatives.

The festival concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing outstanding performances and excellence in animation and digital creativity.

The International Animation Festival reinforced LORMA Colleges dedication to quality education, global partnership, and forward-looking innovation. Through continued collaboration with Busan Kyungsang College, the Global Partnership and Language Office remains committed to expanding international pathways and enriching the academic experience of the LORMA community.

The office fosters global academic collaborations and expands international opportunities for faculty and students.
