Welcome to a December where every breeze carries the hush of Christmas and every milestone glows like a lantern in the night. This month, Lorma Colleges celebrates extraordinary victories—from the 453 newly registered Lormanian nurses, including our exceptional Top 9 passer, to festive campus moments like Lormaligayang Pasko and the brilliant representation at the UI GreenMetric Awards. Across departments, achievements sparkled, creating a December stitched with pride, joy, and the unmistakable warmth of a community rising together.
“When a community lifts its light together, even the smallest spark becomes a beacon.”

Honoring Excellence: A LORMAnian Milestone of Pride

In a moment of profound achievement, our LORMAnian Topnotcher, Ms. Roce Leanne A. Cortez (Top 9), received her Plaque of Recognition, joined by the Vice-President of LORMA Colleges, Dr. Edwin C. Cancino, the Dean of the College of Nursing, Ma’am Teresita Ferrer, and Alumni Office representative, Ma’am Erannie Lynn Jasmin. The ceremony stands as a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to nurturing competence and character.
We also celebrate the remarkable accomplishment of the 453 newly created LORMAnian Nurses, each embodying the spirit of dedication, compassion, and academic excellence. Their journeys reflect the values of perseverance and service, strengthened by the guidance of a community that supports their every step.

This is home — where purpose is created, where passion is shaped, and where service begins. With every achievement, our LORMAnian nurses continue to uplift the institution’s legacy and illuminate the future of healthcare with integrity and heart.
A Spark of Joy: Welcoming the LORMA Christmas Season

Last December 2, 2025, the Carlatan Campus shimmered with warmth and celebration as Lormanian students, faculty, and guests gathered for a magical Christmas Lighting Ceremony. The night came alive with colorful booths, musical performances, and festive activities that brought the community together in the spirit of camaraderie and joy.
The vibrant atmosphere reflected the shared excitement of the season, as each performance and activity added to the growing anticipation of the evening’s highlight. Lorma’s traditions shone brightly, reminding everyone of the unity and hope that define the community.

The ceremony culminated in the much-awaited lighting of the Christmas tree, symbolizing the beginning of a brighter, more joyful holiday season at Lorma Colleges—an enchanting moment that illuminated hearts and campus grounds alike.
LORMA Steps Forward in Global Sustainability

LORMA Colleges proudly marked its first participation in the UI GreenMetric Ranking 2025 Results and Awards Ceremony held in Taiwan on December 5, 2025. Among 1,547 higher education institutions from 105 countries, Lorma secured the rank of 1238 worldwide, demonstrating strong performance in Energy and Climate Change, Transportation, Settings and Infrastructure, and Education and Research, while identifying strategic areas for growth in Waste and Water management.
This achievement stands as a meaningful baseline in advancing Lorma’s institutional commitment to Sustainability and Global Impact and Stewardship—two of the Four Institutional Pillars that guide the institution’s direction and values. The results serve not only as recognition of current efforts but also as a foundation for strengthening future initiatives.

Furthering this commitment, LORMA Colleges also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Chi Nan University, ranked 30th globally, to foster deeper academic exchange and environmental collaboration. This partnership represents an important step toward building a greener, more innovative, and globally engaged Lorma community.
