As July draws to a close, we gather beneath the canopy of another month filled with beginnings, connections, and moments that reminded us what it means to grow together. This final edition of the month brings together stories of Lormanians returning home for a new school year, faculty members pausing to rest and reconnect, communities becoming safer and stronger, and new team members finding their place within the LORMA family. Beyond our walls, new partnerships also reached across borders, opening pathways for knowledge, collaboration, and shared possibilities. Together, these moments form the many threads that made July a meaningful chapter in the ever-growing Lormanian story.
"Like the trees beneath one canopy, we may grow in different directions, but our roots remain connected by the purpose we share."

A Time to Pause, Reflect, and Reconnect:
LORMA Colleges Faculty Retreat 2026

LORMA Colleges faculty members came together for the 2026 Faculty Retreat, held on July 24 and 29, 2026, at Lambana Events Place in Bangcusay, San Fernando City, under the theme “Forest & Family Picnic.” The retreat offered faculty members a meaningful pause from the demands of academic life—a chance to step away from the classroom, breathe, reconnect, and rediscover the shared purpose that continues to unite the LORMA community. Batch 1, composed of BIES, GEN ED, CIE, COB, CCSE, and NSTP, and Batch 2, composed of CMLS, CON, COP, CPT, COPSY, CORT, and CRT, took part in wellness sessions, group activities, reflection, laughter, and meaningful conversations that created space for educators to recharge and nurture their well-being.

For the Campus for Health Sciences faculty, the two-day experience placed wellness at the heart of the gathering, reminding everyone that caring for educators is just as important as the care they extend to students each day. Special thanks to Ma'am Dixie Ann Palmos of SIF Care for leading the AcuDetox session, and to Ms. Geralyn Garcia-Laset and Ms. Therese Geraldine Mabanag for guiding the Eurhythmy Sessions. Appreciation is also extended to the Wellbeing Team, whose thoughtful planning and heartfelt efforts brought every detail, activity, and moment of the retreat to life.

More than a time for rest and renewal, the retreat reaffirmed LORMA Colleges' commitment to cultivating a culture where people are valued, supported, and empowered to flourish. As faculty members return refreshed and inspired, they carry with them renewed energy to lead, serve, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of every Lormanian.
A New School Year Begins:
Welcoming Lormanians Home

LORMA Colleges warmly welcomed its Basic & Inclusive Education pupils as they officially began S.Y. 2026–2027 with the first flag-raising ceremony and orientation held at the gymnasium. The gathering, led by Dr. Carol Macagba, President; Dr. Edwin Cancino, Vice President; and Dir. Beth Camara, Director of Basic and Inclusive Education, marked the beginning of another meaningful year of learning, growth, and shared experiences.

Following the orientation, Lormanians took part in a campus tour designed to help new students become familiar with their new learning environment. With the support of their fellow learners, the activity created a welcoming atmosphere and helped everyone feel more connected to their new home away from home.
As the new school year unfolds, may every LORMANIAN look forward to a year filled with curiosity, wellness, friendship, and opportunities to grow. Here's to new beginnings, meaningful learning, and creating new #LorMemories together.
A Safer Workplace, A Stronger LORMA Community

Welcoming Our Newest LORMANians

Held at the Audio-Visual Room, Carlatan Campus, the LC ONE Onboarding Program welcomed Batch 1 of our newest LORMAnian team members on July 27 and 28, 2026, opening their journey with an invocation, opening remarks, and a meaningful walk through the rich history and story of LORMA Colleges. The second day was made more meaningful through an inspiring message from Vice-President Edwin Cancino, followed by the new LORMAnian team members' Pledge of Commitment—a promise to embody Leadership, Wellness, and Global Excellence in everything they do.
