Waves of Purpose, Paths of Power: Stories of the Lormanian Spirit

In this vibrant chapter of LORMA Colleges’ journey, stories unfold like waves—each one carrying purpose, passion, and progress. From championing inclusion through INKLUSURF, to empowering young women leaders, celebrating global achievements, and honoring new professionals in healthcare, every moment reflects a community in motion. United in play, driven in purpose, and inspired in vision, Lormanians continue to rise—creating impact across disciplines, borders, and generations.

“Like waves guided by the same sea, we rise together—shaped by purpose, strengthened by unity, and destined to create.”

Riding the Waves of Inclusion:

INKLUSURF Moves Forward

-
-

TINKLUSURF: Surfing for Every Juan, in partnership with HIRAYA Collective, continues to advance its mission of inclusivity and empowerment through adaptive surfing, creating meaningful opportunities for individuals of all abilities. As preparations move forward, the initiative reflects a shared vision of fostering safe, supportive, and transformative experiences that celebrate both courage and community.

-
-

A key milestone in this phase was the successful conduct of participant screening and medical assessments, with the support of the Campus Health Office, ensuring that each individual’s health needs and readiness were carefully evaluated. This was further strengthened by functional and baseline assessments at the Lorma Physical Therapy and Fitness Center, led by Dr. Ilian Eusebio, with the assistance of Ms. Karen Salapong and Mr. Jer Isagani Dela Cruz, alongside the active involvement of BSESS and BSPT students, highlighting a strong culture of collaboration, service, and experiential learning.

Through these collective efforts, INKLUSURF stands as a powerful example of how education, healthcare, and community partnerships can come together to create inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. As the waves continue to call, the initiative moves forward with purpose—opening doors, breaking barriers, and reminding us that every individual deserves the chance to ride the waves of possibility.

Rising Voices, Leading Change:

Lormanian Women at the Kabataang Kababaihan Sympoosium

-
-

In celebration of Women’s Month 2026, young women leaders from LORMA Colleges took part in the “Kabataang Kababaihan Symposium” held on April 8, 2026, at the Speaker Pro-Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center in the City of San Fernando, La Union. Organized by the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Youth, Education, and Sports Development Office, the whole-day event gathered participants from various institutions, creating a dynamic space for empowerment, dialogue, and meaningful engagement on women’s issues.

-
-

Representing LORMA Colleges were student leaders Almira Victoria Rendon, Princess Angel Gacayan, Trisha Eunice Pagaling, Khiara Chelsea Chan, and Charie Lei Pepe, who actively participated in discussions and interactive sessions. The symposium featured insightful talks and advocacy-driven activities centered on women’s empowerment, leadership development, gender sensitivity, and the promotion of safe and inclusive spaces, encouraging participants to amplify their voices and embrace their roles as changemakers.

Through this experience, Lormanian student leaders continue to embody the strength and potential of empowered women, contributing to a future shaped by equality, inclusivity, and purposeful leadership. Their participation reflects LORMA Colleges’ commitment to nurturing globally aware and socially responsible leaders who are ready to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
