Love took center stage at LORMA Colleges as students, faculty, and staff gathered for Heartbeats and Footsteps: A LORMA Love in Motion, held on February 13, 2026, at the Campus for Learning and Innovation Learning Commons. The activity created a meaningful space for reflection, where students expressed gratitude, shared affirmations, and wrote messages celebrating love for self, others, and purpose.

More than a Hearts Day celebration, the event emphasized the importance of emotional wellness, self-awareness, and purposeful living. By nurturing both heart and mind, students were reminded that personal growth strengthens their ability to serve communities with compassion, resilience, and integrity.


Through shared stories and heartfelt expressions, the gathering highlighted how a culture of care and connection builds stronger individuals and a more supportive academic community—reflecting LORMA Colleges’ commitment to holistic development and well-being.

At the Campus for Health Sciences, LORMA Colleges, through the College of Physical Therapy, partnered with HIRAYA Collective to formalize a Memorandum of Agreement for INKLUSURF: Surfing for Every Juan—a pioneering initiative that offered adaptive surfing experiences for individuals with visual impairments. The program created safe, accessible, and empowering activities that celebrated abilities, fostered social connection, and promoted holistic wellness.

The MOA was officially signed by Dr. Carol Lynn R. Macagba, President of LORMA Colleges, and Dr. Eva Marie Wang, Founder and Convenor of HIRAYA Collective, with the support of academic and community leaders as witnesses. This collaboration highlighted the College of Physical Therapy’s role in designing inclusive programs that integrated therapeutic expertise with community engagement.


INKLUSURF reflected LORMA Colleges’ commitment to inclusive education, innovation in wellness, and meaningful community partnerships. Through this initiative, LORMANIANS demonstrated leadership, compassion, and a shared purpose in creating accessible opportunities for all.

Inclusive Education Week 2026, themed “Inclusive Futures: Innovating Education, Advancing Well-being, Transforming Communities,” was celebrated from February 23–27, 2026 across the Campus for Health Sciences, Basic and Inclusive Education Schools, and Campus for Learning and Innovation of LORMA Colleges, transforming learning spaces into vibrant hubs of empathy, creativity, and accessibility through exhibits and advocacy booths featuring accessible games and tactile learning materials, Braille-based freedom walls, digital accessibility and assistive tools, blind mobility simulation, and wellness massage that highlighted innovation grounded in compassion.

Inclusive activities such as Color Me, I Belong, All About Me Collage, Painting for Inclusion and Community, Designing a Digital Logo, and bookmark making, while the Disability and Sensitivity Orientation Seminar featured keynote speaker Dr. Eva Marie Wang from Hiraya Collective for the Blind who delivered the powerful talk “Open Doors, Open Minds: Revolutionizing Education for a Transforming World,” complemented by a film viewing with audio description that deepened awareness and understanding of inclusive practices.


As the celebration continues on its final day, the community walk, presentation of exhibits, inspirational talk, intermission numbers, pledge of inclusion, and closing remarks are bringing the week to a meaningful culmination—affirming LORMA Colleges’ commitment to building inclusive futures where diversity is embraced, accessibility is prioritized, and every learner belongs.

Love Speaks in Every Hand: SENYAS Builds Bridges of Inclusion


This Valentine’s Day, Batch 1 of LORMA Colleges NSTP students participated in “SENYAS: Learning the Basics of Sign Language” at the Campus for Learning and Innovation, where they actively learned Filipino Sign Language fundamentals—from finger spelling and basic expressions to respectful communication with the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community—developing not only practical visual-gestural skills but also deeper empathy, inclusivity, and meaningful human connection, showing that love is truly expressed through understanding, accessibility, and the willingness to communicate beyond words.

The LORMA Colleges – College of Computer Studies and Engineering proudly celebrates its researchers for successfully presenting two impactful studies at the 6th International Conference on Advancing Knowledge from Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Education, Engineering and Technology (ICAKMPET) on January 25, 2026, with their work published in a Scopus-indexed proceeding, highlighting research on faculty instruction quality, 21st-century skill development, academic preparation, career readiness, and graduate employability—an achievement that reflects the institution’s strong culture of innovation, academic excellence, and commitment to advancing knowledge while representing LORMA Colleges with distinction on the international research stage.

Stride by Stride: Physical Therapy in Action at Dar Awan Skyrun


The LORMA Colleges College of Physical Therapy actively demonstrated service, skill, and compassion during the Dar Awan Skyrun in Bacnotan, La Union, as faculty members and student volunteers from the BSPT and BSESS programs served as first aid providers, station managers, and warm-up facilitators for runners across all race categories, ensuring safety, injury prevention, and optimal performance while transforming the event into a meaningful experiential learning platform where students applied their knowledge in anatomy, biomechanics, therapeutic exercise, and sports injury management—reflecting LORMA’s commitment to community engagement, health promotion, and real-world, purpose-driven education

Rooted in Service, Rising in Care


Guided by compassion and professional purpose, the Lorma College of Pharmacy actively participated in the Medical, Dental, and Surgical Mission through Hospital on Wheels spearheaded by the City of San Fernando La Union Association USA alongside partner non-profit organizations, rendering pharmaceutical services on February 21 and 22, 2026 at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center where faculty and students dispensed medicines and provided patient counseling to promote safe, effective, and rational drug use, transforming classroom knowledge into meaningful community impact while strengthening service-learning, professional competence, and collaborative healthcare delivery.

NSTP-BSN Students Take a Big Step for Community Health with MOA Signing


Following the approval of their community project, “Namnama para iti Salun-at ken Kinatalged: Improving Community Health and Safety Through Sustainable Waste Management and Basic Health Services,” BSN students of LORMA Colleges formalized their partnership with Barangay Bato through a Memorandum of Agreement signing held on February 20, 2026, marking a meaningful step toward structured and collaborative community engagement.


The agreement clearly defined the roles and responsibilities of both the students and barangay officials, ensuring coordinated implementation of sustainable waste management initiatives and the delivery of basic health services designed to enhance community safety, environmental responsibility, and overall well-being.


With the MOA in place, the NSTP-BSN students are now prepared to roll out their project on the ground, translating classroom knowledge into purposeful action while strengthening partnerships and advancing sustainable, community-centered healthcare solutions.
