Some seasons are defined by beginnings, others by the moments that quietly shape who we are becoming. This edition gathers the milestones that made this season meaningful at LORMA Colleges—from welcoming a new generation of Lormanians into the community to witnessing students take on the symbols, responsibilities, and promises of their chosen professions. Through coats donned, pins received, candles held, and first steps taken, we see young aspirations gradually taking form as futures filled with possibility.
"The future is not shaped in one defining moment, but in the countless small moments when we choose to learn, to grow, and to step forward."

A New Chapter Begins at LORMA Colleges

With hearts full of gratitude and eyes on the future, LORMA Colleges formally welcomes Dr. Edwin C. Cancino as its new President during a solemn and inspiring Investiture Ceremony held at the Pavilion, CHS Campus, Carlatan. The occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter in the institution’s journey of excellence and service.

From the Turnover Ceremony to the Oath of Office and his first address as President, the occasion signified a meaningful transition of leadership—one grounded in shared values, a strong sense of purpose, and a vision that continues to move the LORMAnian community forward.
To Dr. Cancino, congratulations and welcome to this new chapter of leadership. May your presidency inspire continued growth, meaningful innovation, and excellence across the LORMA community. We look forward to the milestones and possibilities that lie ahead under your leadership.
Leading with Purpose, Leading with Heart

The LORMA Colleges Leadership Team gathered for a meaningful conversation on purpose, identity, and what it truly means to lead the LORMA way. The discussion centered on the values that shape our leadership—purposeful action, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive difference.
As we prepare for the new academic year this August, we are reminded that leadership goes beyond responsibility. It is about nurturing people, promoting wellness, embracing growth, and pursuing global excellence while staying grounded in our shared identity and purpose.
As one LORMA community, we carry this reminder forward: lead with purpose, lead with heart. May the year ahead inspire leaders who empower others, champion well-being, and create meaningful impact within and beyond the LORMA community.
Donning the Coat, Embracing the Calling

Congratulations to the Pharmacy students of LORMA Colleges as they receive their white coats during the 12th White Coat Ceremony—a meaningful milestone as they take their next step toward their internship journey. More than a symbol of the profession, the white coat represents trust, compassion, integrity, and the responsibility entrusted to future pharmacists.

From the classroom to the clinical setting, may this milestone inspire our students to uphold excellence in patient care, commit to lifelong learning, and carry with them the values that define the pharmacy profession. As they enter a new chapter of their professional journey, may they continue to serve with competence, empathy, and purpose.
Here’s to the next chapter, future pharmacists. May you wear the coat with pride, honor the calling with heart, and contribute to a healthier community and a better world.
Coated with Purpose, Pinned with Pride

The College of Medical Laboratory Science proudly celebrated its 6th Coating & Pinning Ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the journey of our students toward becoming future medical laboratory professionals. This meaningful tradition symbolizes their transition from the classroom to a profession grounded in competence, integrity, and service.

To our newly coated and pinned LORMAnians, this moment reflects your dedication, resilience, and passion for serving others. Wear your coat and pin with pride, and carry forward the values that have guided you throughout your journey. May you continue to pursue excellence, uphold professional responsibility, and contribute to the health and well-being of the communities you serve.
We were honored to have Atty. Ricardo D. Antolin, MPH, RMT as our guest speaker, inspiring our future medical technologists with words of wisdom as they move closer to their chosen calling. Congratulations, future medical laboratory professionals! May you continue to shine as beacons of excellence, compassion, and service in the field of medical laboratory science.
Beyond the Halls, Into the World:
A Lormanian Journey Continues

The LORMA Colleges Pavilion was filled with pride and celebration on August 7, 2026, as we honored our graduates and marked another meaningful milestone in their academic journey. The occasion brought together families, faculty, and members of the LORMA community to celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and accomplishments of our newest graduates.

Adding significance to the celebration was our Guest of Honor and Speaker, Florence Carreon Galvez-Boado, RRT, Chief Radiologic Technologist at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center and a proud alumna of LORMA Colleges, BS Radiologic Technology Class of 1998. Her journey from Lormanian graduate to healthcare professional served as an inspiring reminder of the possibilities that await those who carry their education with purpose and commitment.
As our graduates step beyond the halls of LORMA, may they continue to embody Leadership, Wellness, and Global Excellence in every path they take. Their journey may be moving into a new chapter, but the Lormanian spirit remains with them—empowering them to serve, lead, and create meaningful impact wherever their future takes them.
Welcome Home, Freshies:
A Lormanian Beginning to Remember

Welcome Fest 2026 officially welcomed our freshman Lormanians into the LORMA family, filling the day with smiles, excitement, new friendships, and the unmistakable spirit of Lormanian pride. More than an opening celebration, the event gave our freshies a chance to meet new barkada, build connections, and begin their college journey surrounded by a community ready to welcome them home.

The celebration continued with fun-filled games and an after-party with a twist, bringing everyone together for an unforgettable close to the festivities. DJ Dean Neil kept the crowd moving as our freshmen filled the celebration with energy, enthusiasm, and the spirit that made Welcome Fest 2026 one for the books.
And just like that, Welcome Fest 2026 came to a close, but the Lormanian journey has only begun. To our freshman Lormanians, may this first chapter be filled with meaningful friendships, purposeful learning, personal growth, and countless moments worth remembering.
From Aspiration to Action:
Lighting the Way for Future Nurses

The College of Nursing celebrated its 64th Capping, Badging, Pinning & Candle Lighting Ceremony on August 7, 2026, at the LORMA Colleges Pavilion, marking a significant milestone in the journey of our future nurses. Guided by the theme, “From Aspiration to Action: Cultivating Competent, Compassionate, and Transformative Future Nurses,” the ceremony honored the dedication, perseverance, and commitment that brought our nursing students to this defining moment.

The occasion was made more meaningful by the presence of Allen Joshua R. Dominguez, LPT, RN, MAN, MPH, PhD, who served as guest speaker and shared valuable insights for our future healthcare professionals. His presence added inspiration to a ceremony that symbolizes not only academic preparation but also the responsibility of carrying knowledge, compassion, and service into the communities they will one day care for.
To our future nurses, may the light you carry today guide you toward a future defined by competence, compassion, and purposeful service. As you take the next steps in your journey, continue to embody the Lormanian spirit and become healthcare professionals who lead with heart, uphold excellence, and make a transformative difference in every life you touch. Congratulations, Lormanians, and may you continue to light the way forward.

Across Borders, Expanding Horizons: LORMA Medical Laboratory Science Students Complete Global Mobility Program
Two Medical Laboratory Science students and a clinical instructor from LORMA Colleges successfully completed a one-month Student Mobility and Cultural Immersion Program at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU), Thailand, from June 14 to July 12, 2026.
