LORMA Colleges proudly stood among the honored Higher Education Institutions during the CHED Region 1 Awarding Ceremony of Highly Ranked Institutions held last September 29, 2025. This recognition celebrated the institution’s unwavering commitment to internationalization and global achievement.


Marking another milestone, LORMA achieved an impressive 290th spot in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) — its second recognition under this international framework. The College also secured strong category placements: 10th in Industrial Application, 32nd in Culture/Values, and 68th in Student Support and Engagement — a true testament to its values-driven innovation and student-centered education.

What a remarkable day it was at Paraiso Del Bacnotan for the Lormanian Leadership Training 2025, where student leaders from various departments, interest clubs, and organizations—including SML (Sangunniang Mag-aaral ng LORMA), SBO, SSG, and ISO Officers—gathered under the theme “Here We Go Again: Leading with Passion, Growing with Purpose.” The event opened with welcome remarks from Ms. Joyce A. Soriano, followed by an energetic zumba session and engaging team-building activities led by the SML Officers, fostering teamwork and unity among participants.


Afterward, the Leaders’ Conference brought together officers from various student bodies to align goals and strengthen inter-organization collaboration. The afternoon program featured an inspiring Leadership Talk by Ms. Lailanie B. Soriano, MSPsych, LPT, RPm, who shared valuable insights on leading with authenticity and passion. This was followed by the SML Workshops on Standardization, covering key topics such as letters and proposals, budgeting and financing, and auditing before, during, and after events, which helped equip student leaders with practical skills for effective governance.

The day concluded with open discussions and an awarding ceremony recognizing the efforts and participation of the student leaders. The vibrant celebration of World Food Day 2025 brought together cultures, flavors, and friendships in one meaningful gathering held last October 11, 2025, at the Campus for Health Sciences Pavilion, Carlatan. The event began with heartfelt invocations and national anthems representing the Philippines, America, Nigeria, India, and Saudi Arabia—symbolizing unity in diversity.


The International Students Organization (ISO), led by President Ahmed Mahir Talha, opened the program with warm remarks, followed by inspiring messages and video highlights of their outreach program at Bacnotan Elementary School SPED Center. The evening continued with captivating cultural performances from various student groups, showcasing the beauty of multiculturalism and the spirit of inclusion that defines the Lormanian community.

The Science Month 2025 celebration sparked excitement and learning through activities such as the Sci-Quiz Bee, Clean-Up Day, Sci-Essay Writing, and Film Viewing — each designed to fuel curiosity and inspire environmental responsibility among students. The highlight of the event was the Seminar-Workshop on Basic CPR and the ABCDs of First Aid, led by Guest Speaker Ely John Cabanela Corpuz from the Philippine Red Cross – La Union Chapter, alongside an Awareness Campaign Program headed by Ms. Rhaycy Lei Cabanela with PT Interns Elvis E. Felipe and Cazzandra Nicole S. Benabese.


These sessions equipped students with vital knowledge on emergency preparedness and underscored the connection between science, health, and community care. The celebration culminated in a reflective activity where students explored how science plays a role in everyday life — from protecting the planet to promoting wellness and safety.

Lormanian Archers Aim True!

Lorma’s young archers displayed skill, focus, and determination at the PSC-WAP Philippine Archery Cup and Age Group Development Program Leg 3 held on October 1–5, 2025, at the Candon City Concert Grounds, Ilocos Sur. Highlighting the event, Alleria Vhlyz Chrystelle A. Balatero secured a Bronze Medal in the Under 15 Girls 50m Qualifying Round, alongside strong performances from Zabdiel Andrei N. Tadifa, Adrienne Clyde S. Noto, Ma. Louisse Margahrette Oredina, and Gaea Daphne Garcia. Together, Balatero and Tadifa also earned a 4th Place finish in the Under 15 Mixed Team Event.


Guided by Head Coach Marianito R. Dacanay and Assistant Coach Mary Queen J. Ybañez, our archers continue to exemplify the Lormanian spirit of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Their dedication reminds us that every shot taken with passion and purpose always finds its mark.

World Mental Health Day 2025: Nurturing Minds, Promoting Wellness

In celebration of World Mental Health Day 2025, the Guidance and Counseling Office (GCO), in collaboration with the College of Psychology 4th-year students, organized a series of engaging activities across both the Campus for Learning and Innovation and the Campus for Health Sciences last October 10, 2025.


The event aimed to raise awareness on the importance of mental health and encourage open conversations on wellness, balance, and self-care. Through interactive sessions and activities, the celebration served as a meaningful reminder that caring for one’s mind is just as vital as caring for one’s body—fostering a healthier, more compassionate Lormanian community.

Welcome Festival 2025:

A Fresh Start for Basic and Inclusive Education

The Welcome Festival 2025 of LORMA Colleges Basic and Inclusive Education brought together students, parents, faculty, and staff in a vibrant celebration of community and collaboration. Held last October 10, 2025, at the LORMA Colleges Gymnasium in San Juan Campus, the program opened with the introduction of faculty members from preschool to senior high school, followed by the presentation of the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) accomplishment report by Mrs. Cecille Bernadette A. Ellen, PTO Executive President. The event also featured the election of new PTO officers for the school year 2025–2026.


Adding to the excitement were interactive booths from various departments including IT Services, Medical Services, Academics, Guidance Services, Administration, Library Services, and the IEP and ICT–Robotics teams. The festival showcased the dynamic spirit of the Lormanian community—welcoming new beginnings, strengthening partnerships, and celebrating learning in every form.
