LORMA Colleges Partners with University of Wyoming for Global MLS Advancement

Lorma Colleges – Campus for Health Sciences officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Wyoming on May 29, 2025, marking a new academic partnership focused on Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) education, research, and training.
Present at the signing were key representatives from both institutions, including Dr. Carol Lynn R. Macagba (LORMA Colleges) and Dr. Brent Pickett (University of Wyoming), alongside faculty and program leaders from the MLS and MLT programs.
This strategic alliance aims to foster international collaboration, enabling exchange programs, joint research, and curriculum development, empowering students and faculty through global academic opportunities.
Through this partnership, Lorma reaffirms its commitment to shaping future healthcare professionals through excellence, innovation, and international engagement.
Pinning & Send-Off: BSPT 2026 Milestone Event

On June 27, 2025, the College of Physical Therapy held its 1st Pinning and Send-Off Ceremony at the LORMA Colleges Founders Hall, marking a milestone for the BSPT Interns, Class of 2026, as they begin their clinical training.
The event featured messages of inspiration and commitment from academic leaders, including Mrs. Ellen Mae P. Abiqui, Ms. Juliny Grace F. Bautista, and guest speaker Ms. Jonadel Q. Valdez, a BSPT alumna and Chief Physical Therapist at LORMA Medical Center. Highlights included the symbolic pinning, the Intern’s Oath, and a Closing Message from Dr. Maverick Kaypee A. Colet, Dean of the College.
This solemn ceremony affirmed the interns' dedication to healing, service, and professional integrity.
Honoring Dedication: Emerald Service Awards 2024–2025

The Emerald Service Awards, held at Vista La Vita, paid tribute to the loyal service and dedication of LORMA Colleges' employees. With opening reflections led by Pastor John Stephen Gois and a warm welcome from Ms. Elizabeth S. Paredes, MBA, the event honored those who have shaped LORMA’s legacy through years of steadfast commitment.
In her keynote, Dr. Carol Lynn R. Macagba, LORMA President, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the awardees, reminding all that the institution’s strength lies in its people. Meaningful tributes were shared by Ms. Melba C. Ano (35 years of service) and Dr. Pacita G. Apilado, a Jade Awardee. The ceremony closed in prayer and reflection, celebrating not just years, but lives devoted to purpose, excellence, and community.
LORMA Summer Learning Camp Awards Young Achievers for 2025

LORMA Colleges' Basic and Inclusive Education held its Summer Learning Camp 2025 Awarding Ceremony on July 9, 2025, at the Urbiztondo campus in San Juan, La Union. The event celebrated young learners who completed a fun-filled month of academic and creative growth.
The camp featured Journalism and Photography workshops, plus lessons in English, Math, Number, and Reading Literacy—all designed to spark curiosity and build confidence.

Rooted in Purpose: Ylang-Ylang Tree Planting Blooms at Archery

LORMA Colleges took another step toward building not just an archery facility, but a sustainable community. On the grounds of the soon-to-rise LORMA Archery Academy, students and staff gathered for a meaningful Ylang-Ylang tree planting event.
Known for its fragrant flowers and calming presence, the Ylang-Ylang tree was chosen to symbolize growth, unity, and mindfulness. Once matured, these trees will form natural green walls around the academy, creating an eco-friendly and peaceful space for learning and training.
This activity reflects LORMA’s commitment to environmental consciousness, community collaboration, and holistic development, not only in sports but in shaping responsible citizens.
As the trees grow, so too does the vision for a greener, more vibrant campus.
Lighting the Way: 1st Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony of the College of Radiologic Technology

The College of Radiologic Technology at LORMA Colleges held its 1st Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony, marking a significant milestone as students prepare to enter clinical practice.
Guest speaker Javie James P. Macagba, RRT, CT Scan Technologist at LORMA Medical Center, shared an inspiring message on serving with both skill and compassion. His words reminded students that beyond every scan is a person, and every patient encounter is an opportunity to heal with heart.
The candle lighting symbolized the students’ dedication to care, integrity, and the profession they now step into. It was a moment not just of transition, but of purpose, lighting the way forward in their journey as future healthcare professionals.

Lormanians Achieve International Licensure Across the Globe
LORMA Colleges proudly celebrates its graduates who have successfully passed international licensure examinations—a testament to the institution’s strong foundation in healthcare education and global readiness. Among the newly licensed professionals are graduates in Radiologic Technology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy, who passed exams such as the NCLEX-RN in the U.S., the Nursing and Midwifery Council Exam in Nigeria and the UK, the Pharmacist Licensure Exam in Nigeria, and Physiotherapy evaluations in Canada. Notably, Nursing alumna Favour Ogochukwu not only passed the UK NMC Exam but also earned her PhD in International Healthcare Systems.
