The Department of Respiratory Therapy's Student Body Organization (SBO) and the Association of Respiratory Therapy Students (ARTS) conducted a medical mission in Brgy. Sagayad, San Fernando City, La Union last August 15, 2026, in celebration of Lung Month. The activity was organized in partnership with the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) – Lung Care Unit and the La Union Medical Society, under the leadership of Dr. Gilvic Tirso Aspiras, Dean of the Department of Respiratory Therapy.

Beyond delivering free healthcare services, the mission aimed to promote lung health awareness, respiratory disease prevention, and access to healthcare among residents of Brgy. Sagayad. It also gave Respiratory Therapy students the opportunity to apply their training in a real community setting, reinforcing both their clinical skills and their sense of service.
The organizers extended their gratitude to the ITRMC Lung Care Unit, the La Union Medical Society, and the Barangay Officials of Sagayad for their support and hospitality throughout the event. The medical mission underscored the department's continuing commitment to community health, with organizers emphasizing that healthcare extends beyond treatment to include education and compassionate service.

The Lorma Colleges College of Pharmacy has officially begun the Experiential Pharmacy Practice (EPP) for the First Semester of AY 2026–2027, giving 4th Year BS Pharmacy students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and build professional competencies in real practice settings. The program is conducted in line with CHED CMO No. 25, s. 2021.
Pharmacy interns will be immersed in three key areas of practice. Internship 1 covers Institutional Pharmacy at the Department of Health – Ilocos Center for Health Development (DOH-Ilocos CHD). Internship 2 focuses on Public Health & Regulatory Pharmacy at the City Health Office (CHO) of San Fernando City, La Union. Internship 3 centers on Community Pharmacy, with placements at Aloha Pharmacy and General Merchandise (SFC Main and Balaoan branches), Halog's Pharmacy (Agoo branch), KC Paris Pharmacy, Mercury Drug, and Shield Drugstore and Medimarketing Corporation.

With the guidance and support of partner Host Training Establishments and preceptors, the College of Pharmacy continues to nurture future Lormanian Pharmacists grounded in competence, professionalism, and a strong commitment to patient and community health.

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences (BSESS) major in Fitness and Sports Management, under the College of Physical Therapy of LORMA Colleges, recently held a preliminary meeting with representatives from Anytime Fitness to explore a potential partnership for the industry immersion of BSESS students. Both parties discussed possible areas of collaboration, including student deployment, experiential learning, mentorship, and the development of structured training opportunities aligned with the program's academic outcomes.
The College of Physical Therapy remains committed to building strategic partnerships that support the growth of future exercise and sports science professionals, reinforcing academic excellence, professional development, and meaningful industry engagement.

Pammadayaw: Lormanian Excellence Beyond Borders
LORMA Colleges proudly congratulates Andrea G. Galano, RMT, MHA, a Lormanian Medical Laboratory Science alumna from Batch 2018, for successfully completing her Master in Healthcare Administration at Western Governors University, USA; Patience Nduka, USRN, a LormanianBS Nursing alumna from Batch 2019 and Registered Nurse in Alberta, Canada, for earning her Doctor of Philosophy, major in International Healthcare System; and Monsurat Omolara Adeleke, a Lormanian BS Nursing alumna from Batch 2020, for becoming a Certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in the United States of America.
Their achievements reflect the Lormanian spirit of lifelong learning, professional excellence, and continuous growth. From healthcare administration and international healthcare systems to advanced psychiatric nursing, their accomplishments demonstrate how Lormanians continue to expand their expertise and make meaningful contributions across diverse areas of healthcare.
As they continue to grow professionally and serve communities across the globe, their journeys inspire the next generation of Lormanians to pursue excellence without borders. LORMA Colleges celebrates these remarkable milestones and the meaningful impact they continue to make in their respective fields.
