September opens with stories of learning, courage, care, and becoming. Across LORMA, classrooms become places of discovery, milestones become promises to serve, and everyday experiences become lessons carried far beyond the campus. From nurturing spaces where every learner can thrive to preparing future professionals, celebrating journeys across borders, and building a community rooted in peace and wellbeing, this month reminds us that education is more than what we know—it is what we carry with us, who we become through it, and what we choose to give to the world.

The LORMA Wellness Center & Counseling Services (WCCS) brought teachers and parents together on September 1, 2026, at the LORMA San Juan CLI Learning Commons for a meaningful seminar-workshop focused on strengthening the community of support around IEP learners. The gathering emphasized the importance of working together to create an environment where every learner is understood, valued, and empowered to grow.
The teachers’ session featured opening remarks from Ms. Wayne V. Tejano, WCCS Coordinator, followed by an engaging seminar-workshop led by resource speaker Dr. Jojet Lamberto R. Mondares, RPsy, RPm, and key takeaways from Ms. Lea Marie Claustro, IEP Coordinator. The parents’ session opened with remarks from Ms. Andrea Mizelle M. Collado, LCCC Head, followed by another session with Dr. Mondares, insights from Mrs. Cecille Ellen, PTO President, and closing remarks from Dr. Edwin C. Cancino, LORMA Colleges President, culminating in the awarding of certificates.
More than a seminar, the gathering affirmed that supporting learners is a shared responsibility. When educators, parents, and the wider community come together with understanding and purpose, they create stronger pathways for every IEP learner to thrive. At LORMA, we continue to foster a culture where every learner is seen, supported, included, and given the opportunity to flourish.

The College of Psychology celebrates its 3rd Pinning and 2nd Coating Ceremony, marking a meaningful milestone for Lormanians whose journey has been shaped by learning, empathy, and a growing commitment to the field of mental health.
Each pin honors years of dedication, while each coat symbolizes a promise to serve with compassion, integrity, and purpose. The celebration was further enriched by the presence of guest speaker Atty. Roulyn Bangud, MAPsy, RPm, RPsy, Court Psychologist of the Bauang Regional Trial Court, whose insights inspired our scholars as they take the next steps toward their calling.
As future stewards of mental health, may our Lormanians carry with them the values of compassion, service, and excellence—using their knowledge not only to understand the mind, but also to uplift lives and strengthen communities wherever their journey leads.

The LORMA Colleges College of Business proudly celebrates its 4th Pinning Ceremony, held on September 4, 2026, at the Campus for Learning and Innovation in San Juan, La Union. The occasion honors a meaningful milestone for fourth-year students of BS Tourism Management, BS Hospitality Management, and BS Business Administration as they prepare to take their learning beyond the classroom and into the professional world.
Each pin represents years of dedication, growth, and preparation, while carrying a deeper promise of excellence, professionalism, and service. The celebration was made more meaningful by the inspiring message of guest speaker Ms. Be Mae Banlaoi-Apilado, COB alumna Batch 2023, whose words encouraged the students as they take the next step in their journey.

Pammadayaw: Lormanian Excellence Beyond Borders
From Saudi Arabia to the United States and across the Philippines, Lormanians continue to turn their education into meaningful achievements. Congratulations to Muetaz Hatem Abdullah Al-Salani, BS Respiratory Therapy 2025, for passing as a Respiratory Therapist in Saudi Arabia; Danielle Marie S. Peralta, Basic and Inclusive Education Schools 2020, for graduating Cum Laude with a Master of Arts in Media and Entertainment Management from the University of Asia and the Pacific; Benito N. Areola Jr., PhD, MAN, RN, RM, BS Nursing 1998, on his appointment as Program Director at the College of Nursing, Qassim University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and Jasmine P. Sibayan, PhD, LPT, BS Secondary Education 2016, for her appointment as Assistant School Head Designate and Master Teacher I at San Fernando South Central Integrated School, as well as her Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for International Teachers (DAI) at the University of Rochester, New York, USA.

Beyond the Breath
A career in Respiratory Therapy begins with knowledge and training, but finds its purpose in every patient helped to breathe better. Meet Abigail V. Racuya-Amoncio, RTRP, Class of 2015, and Mary Joy D. Nodora-Arruejo, RTRP, Class of 2016, whose journeys from the LORMA Colleges College of Respiratory Therapy to their current roles at Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center reflect the value of academic preparation, clinical exposure, and lifelong learning. Their stories embody the competence, compassion, and resilience of Lormanian respiratory therapists—professionals prepared not only to earn a license, but to make every breath count.
Prepared to Make a Difference
Another LORMANIAN milestone worth celebrating! Saleh Musaeed Ahmed, BS Respiratory Therapy Class of 2023, is now making an impact as a Respiratory Therapist at King Salman Hospital in Saudi Arabia. His journey reflects the opportunities that await Lormanians beyond the classroom—carrying with them the competence, confidence, and compassion to serve wherever their profession takes them. At LORMA Colleges – College of Respiratory Therapy, we prepare students not only to earn a degree, but to build meaningful careers and make a difference wherever respiratory care is needed.
Curiosity with Care
Through their Research class, BSP3 students strengthened their knowledge and practical skills in safe, proper, and ethical animal handling during the Safe Animal Handling Training held on August 27, 2026. The training emphasized that meaningful research goes beyond scientific knowledge—it also calls for compassion, care, and responsibility in every step of the process. We extend our appreciation to Dr. Diane Grace F. Gapuz, DVM, and laboratory assistant Sir Gabriel Arangorin for sharing their expertise and guiding our students toward more responsible and competent research practice.

Excellence, Even Beyond the Classroom
Despite the suspension of face-to-face classes due to inclement weather, the LORMA Colleges College of Pharmacy gathered virtually on August 19, 2026, for its Departmental Orientation and General Assembly, welcoming students and setting the direction for the academic year ahead. Led by Dean Ellen Mae P. Abiqul, RPh, MSPharm, CPT, Program Head Beverly B. Barut, RPh, MSPharm, and adviser Ivy Rose C. Orozco, RPh, CIP, the assembly covered departmental orientation and the election of vacant student leadership positions, concluding with the Pharmacy Hymn and PACOP Hymn as a reminder of shared identity and purpose. Even when circumstances call for a different way of coming together, LORMA continues to foster learning, leadership, and community among its future pharmacists.
Learn Beyond Borders
The LORMA Colleges International Students Orientation 2026–2027 welcomed new and returning international students through an afternoon of learning, connection, and community, covering essential matters such as visa processing, school regulations, and important reminders for the semester ahead. More than an orientation, the gathering created a space for students from different backgrounds to meet, build friendships, share experiences, and feel at home within the LORMA community. As they begin another academic journey, LORMA continues to foster an inclusive environment where students can learn beyond borders, grow without limits, and succeed together.
Peace Begins Within
This September, Lormanians come together under the theme “LORMA for PEACE: Empowered by Faith, Fruitful in Service,” creating meaningful spaces for reflection, connection, and wellbeing across the community. Through the Peace Wall, Peace Walk, Peace Talk, Tapestry, Peace Symbols Creation, and IEP Peace Academy, each activity invites us to nurture understanding, strengthen unity, and cultivate a culture of safety and compassion. Together, we continue to build a LORMA community where faith inspires service and peace begins with each of us.
One Community Against Dengue
This National Dengue Awareness Month, LORMA Colleges joins the nationwide campaign to raise awareness and strengthen dengue prevention efforts across our community. In support of the Department of Education’s Advisory on Dengue Prevention and Control Measures in Schools (DM-OUOPS-2025-08-01192), let us stay informed, practice proper prevention, and work together to keep our schools and homes safe from dengue.

The LORMA Colleges College of Respiratory Therapy conducted its Departmental Orientation on September 3, 2026, at the CHS AVR, bringing students and faculty together for essential departmental updates, academic reminders, and relevant information for a well-coordinated academic year. More than setting expectations, the orientation reaffirmed the department’s commitment to academic excellence, professionalism, and the continued development of competent and compassionate future respiratory therapists.
